New office in Cyprus for an international IT company. The client’s task was to redesign the existing work environment to meet the requirements of a modern office for top management. The need to maximize the preservation of the existing elements of the premises posed a challenge to the designers. To create a respectable office for the company’s management, while maximizing the use of fragments left over from the previous space.

The reception, waiting, and lounge areas are built around accent elements, which makes them gallery-like, and the details here emphasize the premium aesthetics. The transit area is separated from the reception by a decorative partition serving as practical shelves. The receptionist’s desk, which is massive in relation to the welcome site, was made glossy, visually making the room look more spacious.
The designers chose high-quality furniture with an ergonomic design. The office’s interior was decorated with products by Italian manufacturers Gollinucci Daniele Martin & Gollinucci Daniele Younique, True Design Fender. We thought about landscaping, selected in accordance with the lighting conditions on the premises. We added abstract paintings in the waiting area, which form a gallery with a changing exposition.
The open space in this office is a hybrid space that can easily be transformed into a large meeting room. This allows for optimal use of space, changing it for specific tasks. Workstations can be easily moved around depending on your needs and mood, or connected to form a spacious conference room.
Open-space desktops are equipped with Lintex desktop screens with sound-absorbing properties. This creates a comfortable working environment, as it minimizes noise.
The office has modern and stylish Framery Phone Booths, where you can conduct business negotiations without noise and book a time to make a call. There are 6 of them: four designed for one employee and two that can accommodate two people. The booths have wireless charging stations and automatic table height adjustments.
The designers took advantage of the office’s location on the 17th floor overlooking the sea to create a truly cozy meeting room. The terrace was completely glazed, designing a meeting room with a panoramic view of the coast. Due to the large amount of glass, it was necessary to improve the acoustic properties of the room, so we added decorative acoustic panels and textured sound-absorbing inserts in the partitions.
The kitchen is designed in darker colors to create a contrast in color, which translates into a contrast in the employee’s attention. This technique promotes refocusing and transfers from a working state to a state of relaxation. Both regular seating and bar tables are arranged for convenience and variability. The dining area overlooks a cozy terrace and the waves of the sea.
Without drastically changing the elements of the existing space, ZIKZAK Architects managed to create a completely different environment in terms of functionality and aesthetics. An outdated office that did not have effective workspace was transformed into an elegant innovative space for the company's top management.
