How to optically maximize space in the office?

Not every company has large and spacious office interiors at its disposal. Many companies have to start out in small office spaces. Office interior design is definitely important and plays a key role in a company’s well-being. It is important to combine aesthetics and style with the convenience and comfort of office workers. In a small office space, every element is important and every square centimeter must be used rationally. Consider a few secrets to help visually expand a small office space and make it attractive and beautiful.
Bright, solid-colored walls
The main technique that helps to visually enlarge any office space is a single-colored, light (preferably white) tones for the walls and ceiling. White walls look win-win and stylish, as well as greatly expanding the space.
If you still want to add color, you should choose very light, neutral tones – pale green, blue, mint, light gray, etc.

Well-thought-out furniture
A small office calls for an especially careful choice of furniture. There is no need to buy anything superfluous, so the best solution is to decide in advance exactly what you need and what that furniture should be like.
First of all, pay attention to the workstations. Even if the rooms are really tight, you should not give a person less than 4 square meters, and ideally aim for 6. A spacious, functional desk and a comfortable chair are the minimum everyone should have.
Use transformable furniture. It does the same job but takes up much less space than ordinary furniture. Modular furniture is a real lifesaver for small offices.
As for a rest area, a small office can do without it altogether or, if space allows, combine the relaxation zone with the kitchen.

Lighting
This is a very important point when fitting out a small office. Bright, strong light makes a space look bigger, while dim light creates a sense of intimacy and coziness but makes the room look smaller. Both daylight and artificial light work well in a small interior.

A minimum of decor
A lot of decorative elements generally looks rather odd in an office. And while it may still be acceptable in large spaces, in small ones decorations should be kept to a minimum. A single picture on the office wall is quite enough. Desks, windowsills and other surfaces should be clean and empty to make the space feel larger and lighter.

To optimize an office interior, every square meter has to be used functionally: choose phone booths instead of large meeting rooms, use the rest area for informal communication between employees as well as for rest, and so on.

When bringing greenery into the office, choose tall houseplants. They visually stretch the space upwards and make the ceiling look higher.
